DAY 2 IN THE STUDIO!(January 11, 2012) What a fun day! We recorded a newer-ish song of mine (it’s actually a couple years old but I’ve only played it live a handful of times), tentatively titled “Circus Heart,” and took it in a really unexpected direction. I LOVE it. Can’t wait for you to hear it. This is a picture of Matt engineering for a spell while Mark laid down some sweet guitar licks. As you can see, Matt is all bundled up because it got cold outside (probably my fault for bragging so much about the warm Austin weather on Day 1. Sorry about that). We had a blast and I can’t wait to go back for more! Luckily I don’t have to wait long….Also exciting news — a microflurry of pre-orders & donations came in to www.rebeccaloebe.com/preorder.html and pushed us over the 50% mark! All of these contributions help us pay for time in the studio you see in these pictures and videos, and also gives us a budget to hire extra musicians here and there to help make this songs sound as fully realized as possible. THANK YOU so much for all of your support! xxoo
