DAY 1 IN THE STUDIO!

Today was the day — I began recording my new album at Aerie Studios in super South Austin with the wonderful and talented Matt The Electrician producing and the equally fabulous Mark Addison engineering and occasionally pushing the “mute” button at key moments. As you can see in the video, the weather was absolutely fabulous — it was so sunny and clear, the breeze was so gentle, that I wanted to record the album outside. But apparently the extension cords weren’t long enough, so we recorded inside and took lots of breaks to run around outside and shoot silly videos. Mark also surprised us by cooking a DELICIOUS pot of black eyed peas! All in all, it was a wonderful first day. I’ll keep you posted as this process unfolds.
