THE LOEBE LOWDOWN: New Year, New Album, New Prizes + News!
January, 2012
Happy New Year! I hope that your holidays were warm, cozy and fun and that 2012 is treating you well so far. I can’t help but notice that we are now just three years from the future prophesied in Back to the Future 2. Who’s got the hoverboard? And more importantly, why are they keeping it from me?
I’m getting back in the swing of things, slowly beginning to remember what it feels like to be not in the throes of the holidaze. I’ve got some exciting news to share, so straighten up your clear plastic neckties and follow along —
But first! Visit www.youtube.com/rebeccaloebe to watch a fun video made by yours truly after the first production meeting I had with the producer and engineer of my new album!

IV. UPCOMING SHOWS!
V. SEEKING HOUSE CONCERTS!
I. Wanna be on my guest list — for a year?!
Many of you have already pre-ordered your copy of my next studio album to help me pay for the costs of creating it, and I couldn’t be more grateful! In honor of the New Year, I have added some NEW PRIZES over at www.rebeccaloebe.com/preorder.html, including T-shirts, online Youtube dedications, Valentine’s gifts for your sweeties and (wait for it) MY CAR. Yes, my beloved Old Glory is up on the auction block.
I have set a fundraising goal of $10,000 to cover the basic costs of recording, paying musicians, mixing and mastering the record. Right now we are about 40% there, and I’m extremely grateful for the support I’ve received so far. In addition to the new prizes, I am offering EVERYONE who contributes any amount a chance to win one more — if we reach 100% of our fundraising goal by January 31, 2012, I will hold an online drawing in which one supporter receives GUEST LIST PRIVILEGES to every show I play in 2012! It doesn’t matter how much you contribute — everyone has an equal chance to win.
You can help us reach that goal by checking out www.rebeccaloebe.com/preorder.html and ordering your copy in advance, or choosing whichever one of the wacky prizes tickles your fancy. EVERY DOLLAR helps us get closer, and increases everyones chances of winning guest list privileges for a year! If you have already contributed (thanks for that, by the way!) you can help us reach our goal by sharing the link to the pre-order site with your online friends. Enthusiasm and word-of-mouth really helps!
Moving on…
II. Folk Alliance & SXSW!
For all my conference-attending friends out there, thought I’d let you know that I’ll be making official appearances at two big ones this spring! First up is the International Folk Alliance, where I’ll be showcasing with my band. Then in March I’ll be a panelist at the world renowned South by Southwest conference! Stay tuned for information about more performances surrounding each conference…
III. And The Producer Is…
I’m excited to announce that I have begun working with the producer of my next album selecting songs, solidifying arrangements and general scheming. You may have heard of him — he is an Austin-based singer/songwriter whose songwriting and album crafting I greatly admire. His name is Matt The Electrician, and you can listen to his tunes at www.matttheelectrician.com.
IV. Upcoming Shows!
I won’t be touring quite as much as usual this spring, as I plan to stay home and make a record, but I will be out and about a little bit. If you live anywhere near any of those shows, I hope you can come join us! Please feel free to pass this information along to music loving friends (or music hating enemies) who may live in or near any of these locales…
